POETRY: Special Announcement!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: poetry reading and book launch with music at the Novel Idea Bookstore, 156 Princess St, Kingston.

Monday, Dec 14th from 7-9pm.

Reading that evening will be Carolyn Smart from her recently launched collection of poetry called Careen(Brick Books, 2015), Jeanette Lynes with the Kingston launch of her new collection of poetry called Bedlam Cowslip: The John Clare Poems (Wolsak and Wynn, 2015), and Jennifer Londry with a Kingston launch of hers called Tatterdemalion(Chaudiere Books, 2015).

Also included in the event that evening will be 2 short music sets featuring a local musician Bob Londry, and Kingston singer/songwriter Roger Dorey. I’ll be emceeing the event that evening.

Jeanette Lynes’ poem, “Lodge Lake, Muskoka, 1968” wins first prize, November 2014

Jeanette Lynes’ poem, “Lodge Lake, Muskoka, 1968” won first prize in the Scugog Council for the Arts (Port Hope, Ontario) Literary Contest, Poetry Category. Another poem by Jeanette Lynes, “Don’t Write What You Know” received an Honourable Mention in the same competition. Congratulations to the other winners!
